Justin Bieber bulleted into the No.1 position on the iTunes chart earlier this week, but his new single 'Boyfriend' soon slid, allowing labelmate newcomer Carly Rae Jepsen to ascend to the No.1 spot after five weeks in the chart.
Labrinth and Tinie Tempah have picked up not only seven spots this week (up to No.4 with their single 'Earthquake'), but they've also picked up a platinum accreditation.
Slamming straight into the top five is Justin Bieber's new single 'Boyfriend'. The Canadian teen superstar set hearts aflutter after dropping the single earlier in the week and it debuts strongly in the No.5 spot.
360 and Gossling are out of the top ten now, but their hit single 'Boys Like You' has achieved its third platinum gong, meaning it's now surpassed 210,000 sales. Katy Perry's 'Part Of Me' also gets a platinum accreditation and Ed Sheeran's 'Lego House' is building slowly but surely - up five places to No.14.
New at No.16 this week is Timomatic's new single 'If Looks Could Kill', followed closely thereafter by a No.19 debut for Florence & The Machine's gorgeous 'Never Let Me Go'.
One Direction's 'What Makes You Beautiful' finally drops out of the top 20 after an extraordinary 21 week run inside. It spends week No.22 at No.23. And Drake & Rihanna's 'Take Care' is now double platinum, but down to No.24.
Surging this week is T-Pain's single 'Turn All The Lights On' with Ne-Yo; up 13 places to No.31, David Guetta & Nicki Minaj's 'Turn Me On' hits triple platinum and Stan Walker breaks into the top 50 with his new single 'Music Won't Break Your Heart'. The first week into the 50 sees the track placing at No.35.
Also popping its head into the top half of the chart is DJ Fresh's track 'Hot Right Now' (No.46).
Outside the top 50, there's a re-emergence for These Kids Wear Crowns' version of 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody', presumably due to it's use in the 'Dancing With The Stars' commercials. It's back in at No.51, while the Jack Back, David Guetta, Nicky Romero and Sia track 'Wild One Two' bullets from No.90 to No.52.
Guetta and Sia's 'Titanium' also encounters a resurgence, moving back up 21 places to No.54.
New at No.60 is Bob Sinclar's new single 'Rock The Boat', with Emeli Sande's single 'Next To Me' improving (No.78 to No.62), The Wanted's 'Glad You Came' re-entering (No.65) and the Glee Cast's rendition of 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' entering at No.68.
Right behind them is the debut for Ricki-Lee's new single 'Do It Like That', followed shortly afterwards by B.o.B's 'So Good' (No.71), Rebecca Ferguson's 'Nothing's Real But Love' (No.73) and 360's 'Child' (No.77).
Five more debuts happen further down the list... Evanescence's 'What You Want' (No.86), Glee's 'Fly/I Believe I Can Fly' (No.87), Glee's 'Here's To Us' (No.91), Natasha Duarte's 'Wanted To Feel' (No.92) and Madonna's 'Girl Gone Wild' (No.93).
One Direction's bonus tracks ('Moments', 'Another World', 'I Should Have Kissed You' and 'Stand Up') all disappear from the top 100.
ALBUMS
Madonna notches up her seventh No.1 studio album in Australia with her latest offering 'MDNA'. The albums slams into the No.1 position with a gold sales accreditation (35,000 copies), keeping One Direction's 'Up All Night' (No.2) and Hilltop Hoods' 'Drinking From The Sun' (No.3) at bay.
Ed Sheeran's '+' moves back into the top ten and into the No.8 position - its equal highest position thus far. Not such good news for The Shins, with their long player 'Port Of Morrow' dropping from its No.4 debut last week to No.13 this week.
New at No.14 is the new Creedence Clearwater Revival best-of 'The Ultimate Collection', Florence & The Machine's 'Ceremonials' is up 18 spots to No.15, David Guetta's 'Nothing But The Beat' moves up from No.34 to No.17 and The Mars Volta hit the top 20 with a No.18 debut for their new long player 'Noctourniquet'.
The Katy Perry 'Teenage Dream' repack does the trick, with 'The Complete Confection' re-entering the top 100 at No.19. Evanescence's self-titled set moves from No.42 to No.25, Odd Future's 'The Of Tape Vol.2' is in at No.34, Faith Hill's 'The Hits' bullets from No.67 to No.35 and Lionel Richie's 'Tuskegee' makes its long awaited debut at No.36.
Rebecca Ferguson's promotional tour did the trick. Her album 'Heaven' is now inside the top 40. Well it's AT No.40, rising 42 places on last week's debut.
New at No.43 is Meshuggah's 'Koloss' and Tony Bennett's 'Duets & Duets II' package falls into the top 50 at No.48.
Outside the top half of the chart, Justin Townes Earle's album 'Nothing's Gonna Change The Way You Feel About Me Now' is in at No.51, McAlister Kemp's album 'Country Proud' had its moment in the top 50 sun, but is fading fast... down from No.18 to No.60 in week No.2.
Ball Park Music's album 'Happiness And Surrounding Suburbs' moves back into the top 100 (No.64), The All American Rejects debut at No.65 with 'Kids In The Street', Paul Weller's 'Sonik Kicks' is in at No.72 and Eli Young Band debuts at No.75 with 'Life At Best'.
More top 100 debuts come courtesy of Shinedown ('Amaryllis' at No.78), Django Django ('Django Django' at No.82), Chet Faker ('Thinking In Textures' at No.87), Iron Maiden's 'En Vivo' at No.91 and Kina Grannis' 'Stairwells' at No.94.
Die Antwoord's 'Ten$ion' has gone from No.48 to being completely outside the top 100.
